hi-jinks
I felt bad leaving up the very bad Miranda day post for so long. Shortly thereafter, Henry discovered markers. And I had to remind myself that I love him too. Even when he is blue.

His smile can break your heart. The eyelashes are a mile long. The eyes are gorgeous. Blue.

Happy Halloween
Happy Halloween. What, you say it is after Thanksgiving? And why haven't I moved on to Christmas yet? Well, I have been thinking about the Christmas card. And so it is time to clean off the digital camera. Thus, Happy Halloween.
We carved many pumpkins this year. 2 big, two little.

Henry was willing to put his little paw in, but Miranda balked.

We went as a theme this year. Miranda started us off with the Gymboree mermaid costume.
Then the rest of us had old-school homemade costumes.
Rob was a shark. Henry was the Rainbow fish. Miranda the mermaid. And I figured I was the backdrop.
So I was seaweed.

because I do love her
I am thinking of the good things about Miranda. Despite using the potty at home just before we left, 45 minutes later, she wet her pants at the mall today and seemed so surprised. And that started a terrible afternoon spiral involving new pants and spilled juice and refusing to get in the car.
One good thing is her newfound love of silly songs. She thinks if you add "hot dog" to any song it is hilarious. Try it. Twinkle Twinkle little hot dog. She had about 17 of these songs this morning on the drive to school.
